Individual & Non-Individual KYC
What is KYC?
KYC stands for Know Your Client, a term commonly used for client identification process. SEBI has prescribed certain requirements relating to KYC norms for financial institutions & financial intermediaries including Mutual Funds to know their clients. This would be in the form of identity & address, providing information of financial status, occupation & other demographic information. All investors, whether Individual or Non-Individual, investing in Mutual Funds are required to be KYC compliant in order to execute financial transactions in Mutual Fund Folios. As a Mutual Fund Distributor, it is our role to provide & guide investors in completing the KYC process. Individual includes KYC done for personal accounts, whereas Non-Individual includes Sole Proprietorship, HUF, Partnership Firm, Private Limited Company, Public Limited Company, Society, Trusts, Limited Liability Partnership, Association of Persons or Body of Individuals, Liquidator, Public Sector Banks, Central or State Govt Departments, Artificial Juridical Person, International Organisation, or Foreign Embassy etc.
Steps to Check Your KYC Status:
1. Visit www.cvlkra.com & click on KYC Inquiry
2. Enter your 10-digit PAN & Captcha & click Submit
3. Your KYC status will be displayed as KYC VALIDATED / KYC REGISTERED / KYC ON HOLD
What Does Each KYC Status Imply?
1. KYC VALIDATED: Relax! You have to do nothing. You can do any transaction in any Mutual Fund, anytime.
2. KYC REGISTERED: You can continue making transactions (Purchases, Redemptions, Switches, SIPs, etc.) in all your existing Mutual Fund investments without any hassle. You need to do KYC again if you want to invest in a Mutual Fund where you don’t have any investment. You can get your KYC status changed to KYC VALIDATED by completing KYC. Once KYC is done, you can invest in any Mutual Fund of your choice.
3. KYC ON HOLD / REJECTED: This could be due to Mobile or Email not validated, PAN not linked to Aadhaar, or deficiencies in KYC documents. Simply redo KYC to update your status to KYC VALIDATED.
For any KYC related queries, reach out to us at 8490860099 or support@investorpoint.co.in. We will be happy to assist you.

Distributor’s Role
We at Investor Point Financial Services Private Limited have always believed that when it comes to investing your hard-earned money in mutual funds, always look for proper guidance from a Mutual Fund Distributor. We believe that an investor can be an expert in their own field, but it is impossible for any investor to possess expertise in every field. Here comes the important role of a Mutual Fund Distributor who, with subject expertise & deep knowledge of Mutual Fund schemes, can make Mutual Fund investing simple for investors. Investing can be complicated without a Mutual Fund Distributor.
Benefits of investing through a Mutual Fund Distributor:
1. Personalised Guidance
Proper guidance from a Mutual Fund Distributor can make a big difference. Online investors often pick schemes based on past performance and lack understanding of the scheme objectives or risks. Through a Distributor, investors get personalised guidance based on their financial goals, risk profile, and investment horizon.
2. Simplifying Key Financial Terms
Mutual Fund Distributors explain complex financial terms in simple language.
3. Making Volatility your Friend
During market volatility, distributors help investors stay calm, guide them with proper knowledge, manage emotions, and remain committed to long-term financial goals.
4. Less chance of mis-selling with MFDs
Distributors are less likely to mis-sell products as they face investors during investment and withdrawal. Investors will not continue with a Distributor who fails to meet goals.
5. Hassle-Free Process
Distributors guide through KYC, executing transactions, and after-sales support. Processes like Minor to Major, Transmission, or bank updates are easier and faster. Capital gain statements or tax packages are also provided free of cost.
6. Regularly Review Portfolio
Distributors regularly review portfolios to ensure investments align with financial goals, risk tolerance, and market conditions.
7. Subject Expertise
Mutual Fund Distributors are NISM certified experts aware of market trends, fund performance, and other critical information, giving them an edge over regular investors.
